What a busy time. Hope you guys are doing well. For me, it's one thing after another, plus more responsibility as I go along. It's one thing to do one thing at a time. But now, I think I'm really doing three things at a time... or more.

Been shooting music videos for 2 weeks now for RMITV. That's about 5 different videos... I cannot imagine the long hours of editing them. But if it gets on TV and if RMITV and their viewers like them, I guess it's worth it. Also need to produce some TV interviews for them. Haven't started that (wah lau).

I'm also now trying to get my faculty website up and running. It's a big site because it will be run as a online lifestyle magazine. So many aspects to it, you know. Have to tie them all up together. Supposed to be launched today, but I think our Chief Editor got shot with a hangover. Hope she is well. So the launch will be delayed. Haiyoh, these people don't get it. When a deadline is set, it has to be fulfilled. What happens if you're late in submitting an article to your publication on time? It doesn't go up! But here, I have no choice. Can't exactly say 'no'. But they can't go on like this, can they? They shouldn't anyway.

Bleah.

I'm running back to God every night now as life gets busier. Running back because if I'm not near him, I'll fall. So, ironically, when things get tougher, I get closer to Him. Cool, huh? Quite concept.

I just saw Hero on DVD. Not bad for entertainment. But the screenplay is horrifying... haha. I do enjoy the fight scenes, however, and would watch it again every so often for the fights. Real cool.

But compared to The Emporer and the Assassin, it's really terrible. I saw Emporer last night and was totally amazed by the screenplay, the acting and so on. Very Beat Takeshi, though, I might add. One keeps forgetting one is not watching a samurai cult film, like Beat's gay samurai movie (I can't recall the title, but I saw it last week).

Meanwhile, I found that the Australian Centre for the Moving Image is a cool place for film connoiseurs to watch films. Especially independent films. It is also the Melbourne home for the TV channel SBS. In any case, it's not just for filmsters but also for the arts-inclined person. A really cool interesting place.

Perhaps it all comes down to why I'm here: a bigger and more acceptable arts scene. I have no doubt that Singapore will one day have a nice arts community to come. But I don't think I can wait that long. Maybe one day, I'll go back to Singapore for good when the arts is really fantastic. But for now, I guess Melbourne will have to do.

It's late. Genshi goes red. Inspired by the Red Girl and the Mother of All Cats.

My friend produces electronica, and he is about to release an independent, uh, release. Here are the pics I took last night in my studio-converted apartment for the CD sleeve...

The infamous red sofa.

The artiste himself.

Star of one of the music videos... the b-boy, a rapper.

The pimp.

The photographer.

I gave the pimp full-sized copies of his photos. Today, the artiste told me that he had it printed at the photo shop and showed it to all his friends and family. The family is going to frame them up in their living room.

digital evening.
Shot on a digital camera. Un-edited.

Tomorrow. The day after. Two days after. The rest of the future.

Been thinking of the years ahead in the last many months or so. Since January, really. I wonder what it'll turn out to be like. Someone, I seem to make plans for it. Tentative ones, but nevertheless, they are made. In the past, I have almost no concept of the future. When I make important decisions, I'm no longer concerned about just the present but the future. How far ahead? At least five to seven years. Up to ten or fifteen. Yes, all the way into my thirties. What would I be like when I'm 36?

If I've had everything my way (indulge me, please), I'd be a technical professional in the field of the arts, running my own shows, gigs, parties, club nights, music label, film house, fashion retail... or whatever... but then there's this thing that I have interest in as well: ministry. I'm not a priest or pastor. But I do want to get involve and share my life with others like our Lord did in the Gospels and still does today. I may not run a ministry. Yet, I hope that, one day, perhaps when I'm 36, my work revolves round Christ's ministry.

15 years down the road. How long can 15 years be? 15 years is no any longer or shorter than 15 years. 15 years will take 15 years to get by. During that time, many things change. So you can argue that, because so many things can happen in 15 years, it is a long time. Yet, to God, 15 years is a blink of an eye. Since the beginning of time, He has not changed one bit.

How much will I change? Will people recognise me then as they would recognise me now? So many questions.

"I want to share my life with you. Join me here, if you believe your destiny is intertwined with mine. Together, we will reach the dreams that we share, with His blessings."
