Palty パルティ = name of a brand of hair dye marketed by Dariya.

Sometimes, things turn out fine when you least expect them to. Like this self-portrait. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with it for now. It's digital, so it doesn't cost anything anyway.

Went out for a hair cut. After that, I bumped into Howie. We went for dinner at Mos Burger. I bumped into Cheryl Lee, a friend from my old church, who, tonight, was sitting on the next table.

I managed to get the Eric Khoo twin movie box - Mee Pok Man and 12 Stories. This is in light of watching Be With Me the other day with Marcus, Liana, Shawn Li, Ah Tan, Esmond and Sue-Ann.

Which reminds me: I only saw the poster after watching that movie - in Far East Square near China Town. But I don't mean to talk about the poster. I want to talk about China Square.

When I mention China Square to people, they always think of the China Square Food Centre - which is not the same thing as China Square. China Square is actually along South Bridge Road - practically in China Town. It's the nicest place I've been too in Singapore. I'll tell you why: it's a bit like CHIJMES, a mix of the old and the new. In China Square, it's all restaurants - but they seem not bad: French-Asian cuisine, mediterranean chow, Japanese kantei, and all sorts of other international fare.

I'm surprised that no one seems to know about this place. Go there on a Saturday night and it'd be almost empty. Even if they aren't really good, there still shouldn't be this few people because the restaurants should be at least half-decent. I mentioned China Square to some of my friends, they also thought I was referring to China Square Food Centre.

Anyway, if anyone feels like checking China Square out, let me know. I'll bring you around. I quite like that area. My parents were impressed when I brought them there. That says a lot.
